The Old Smithy Backpackers Lodge in Welcombe

Here we have one of the oldest out-buildings belonging to The Smithy.  Built in circa 14th Century, it is our intention to convert it from it’s current state as a shed, into a cheap, clean, no-frills backpackers lodge.

It will have 2 bunk beds (so 4 berth), lockers, toilet, shower, sink…and a light bulb!

£10 per person per night.  30 seconds walk from the pub.

Bedding available at extra cost.

Expected Opening: Summer 2013
